Glenn Howells Architects is appointed by Birmingham City Council to develop a strategic masterplan for one of the country's largest regeneration zones.

The Eastside Masterplan is being produced by the practice following the Government's HS2 proposals, which would see the city linked to the South East via a high speed train link.

The Masterplan is proactively considering how the area can successfully develop in the short, medium and long term, and current proposals include locating the HS2 terminal in the Eastside quarter. It will also form an important part of Birmingham City Council's ongoing citywide masterplan.
