Highcross Quarter has won the best Private Housing Development Award at this year's Brick Awards, one of the longest established and most widely respected design awards in the UK. The Awards recognise excellence in design and construction using brick.

Highcross Quarter is the largest redevelopment to take place in Leicester's city centre. The mixed-use development forms part of the city's retail regeneration masterplan and includes the extension and refurbishment of the Shires Shopping Centre, a new multiplex cinema, a new John Lewis Store and luxury city centre living.

Earlier this year, Glenn Howells Architects completed four new buildings with a mix of 120 apartments including retail units at street level and enclosed courtyards above.
