ELISABETH HOUSE / MANCHESTER
GMPVF / ARGENT ESTATES LTD

Elisabeth House is situated within St Peter’s Square - one of the most significant areas of public realm in central Manchester and subject of a major new regeneration initiative by the City Council and its partners.

Glenn Howells Architects were appointed as lead consultant in October 2008 by Argent Estates Ltd (AEL) and the Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund (GMPVF) to develop proposals for a new BREEAM Excellent rated office building and retail development to replace the existing Elisabeth House building.

The 270,000 sq ft building will incorporate office floorplates of up to 22,500 sq ft, as well as flexible cooling strategies for occupiers.

The scheme will include an active mix of uses at ground floor level, with cultural space for public exhibitions, as well as a stunning, double height reception, offering panoramic views across the proposed redeveloped St Peter's Square, refurbished Central Library and Town Hall extension.
