Cathal joined GHA’s Birmingham office in November 2015 after studying at Ulster University in Belfast. He was promoted to Senior Architect in 2022.
Since joining the practice, he has worked on a variety of arts and education schemes including Hanbury Hall, a new cafe and improved facilities for the National Trust, and Moss House for University College Birmingham.
Before joining GHA, Cathal gained experience working in Beijing on large-scale residential, cultural, and commercial projects in mainland China and South Asia.
During his MArch at Ulster University, Cathal was nominated for the RIBA President’s Silver Medal 2015, was shortlisted for the RSUA President’s Silver Medal in 2015 and 2011 and was awarded Ulster University Model Maker of the Year 2015.
