Partners Dav Bansal and Will Poole have recently been appointed to design panels to offer their expertise.
Dav has been selected along with 15 others to join HS2 Ltd’s independent design advisory panel, which will act as a critical friend to the railway and ensure that through good design and guided by the HS2 Design Vision, it delivers economic, social and environmental benefits for the whole country.
More than 100 applicants submitted after a call for experts was issued in the Spring.
Dav said: “I am keen to be involved in helping drive forward the most important infrastructure project in the UK. Living and working in Birmingham, I am interested in how the city can retain its identity and rich heritage while simultaneously becoming a global city. I believe that the desire to be ‘More Birmingham, Less Anywhere’ should be a priority.”
Will Poole has also been selected to offer advice, thought leadership and response to new policies, through the New London Architecture (NLA) Tall Buildings Expert Panel.
As part of the 15-strong group, he will play a key role in developing NLA’s contribution to the placemaking, environmental impacts of towers, construction of towers post-Grenfell and attitudes to tall buildings for those living and working in the capital.
The panel will meet 3-4 times a year to shape agendas and inform the NLA’s year-round programme.
