GHA worked with Grosvenor to deliver a complex combination of high-quality housing over a fire station in a prominent park side setting.
Parkside Place is arranged in four buildings within a conservation area and includes retail space and basement car parking. Of its 99 homes, 40% are affordable.
The buildings are arranged around a courtyard and form context-responsive urban blocks faced with pre-cast stone, bronze-anodised glazing and frameless glass balustrades. An 8-storey wing topped by a 185 sq m penthouse with panoramic views marks the corner of East Road and Parkside.
GHA collaborated with an artist to design the imposing entrance and staircase.
