Director Shauna Bradley has won this year’s BCO NextGen Rising Star Award for the Midlands and East Anglia.
On receiving the award, Shauna said: “It’s great to be recognised in the industry with the BCO Midlands and East Anglia NextGen Rising Star Award and I am really flattered and grateful. I’ve been lucky enough to learn from some fantastic architects and work with amazing people at GHA; I simply try my best to pass on this knowledge and ethic on to my younger colleagues.”
She added “We work with some great clients and on some prestigious projects so going the extra mile is often a pleasure.”
Partner Dav Bansal praised Shauna, saying: “We are immensely proud when we see our talent getting recognised as rising stars in the industry and Shauna is so deserving of this award. On behalf of all the partners at GHA, we congratulate her.”
Paul Patenall, Projects Director at U+I and President of the BCO, said: “Shauna’s dedication to the industry is admirable. Her career has grown from strength to strength and her achievements highlight the incredible impact her work has had on Birmingham’s cityscape, and the people within it.”
Based in the Birmingham office, Shauna joined GHA in 2010 and was made a Director in 2019.
Shauna has been pivotal to some of the practice’s most significant projects in the city in recent years, including Argent’s Paradise, One Centenary Way and Urban Splash’s Port Loop. She also worked on Ballymore’s London City Island, a thriving new residential-led riverside community on the Rivers Lea and Thames peninsula.
In addition, she enjoys taking an active role in working with local university students and is on the Birmingham Civic Society Planning Committee.
